Entry Requirements

To enrol on the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award for Special Educational Needs Coordinators in Early Years Settings (603/3476/9), learners must meet the following criteria:

General Requirements:

  • Aged 16 years or over

  • A good standard of written and spoken English

  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills (Level 2 or equivalent is recommended)

  • A genuine interest in working with children in an Early Years setting

Placement Requirement:

You should be working at level 3 in an Early Years setting, childminders or EYFS within a primary school

Additional Requirements:

  • A valid Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is required to work with children

  • You must have access to a placement supervisor or mentor who can support and confirm your competence in the workplace

Please Note:

Evidence from your placement will be used to support your assessments tasks.
