This online early years course provides learners with the knowledge and understanding of babies and young children from birth to 7 years, with applied learning focused on the early years age range of 0–5 years. It is ideal for those looking to begin or develop a career in childcare and early education.
The qualification meets the Department for Education (DfE) Level 2 full and relevant criteria for a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner, allowing learners to work within the early years workforce and be included in staff-to-child ratios.
As part of the course, learners will complete practical observations in their setting to demonstrate their skills and meet the qualification requirements. You will also benefit from flexible online learning, full tutor support, and access to a wide range of helpful resources throughout the course.

The NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award for Special Educational Needs Coordinators in Early Years Settings covers key areas including SEND legislation and frameworks, early identification and intervention, working in partnership with families and professionals, and promoting inclusive practice. These topics support learners in developing the skills needed to effectively lead and coordinate SEND provision within an early years environment.
This course is suitable for those currently working in early years settings and those looking to develop their knowledge of SEND and inclusive practice. Learners will gain a strong understanding of how to support children’s individual needs and ensure all children have access to high-quality learning opportunities.
Learners are given up to 12 months to complete the course, offering flexible online study that fits around work and personal commitments.
